What does Video Overlay do?
It lets you load up to two motion clips and compare them — either stacked as a transparent overlay or side by side. You can sync the key moment, play both in slow motion from one shared timeline, step frame by frame, trim both clips to the same length, and save the comparison to your photo library.
How do I load my videos?
Tap Load Video 1 and pick a clip from your photo library, then do the same for Video 2. To swap a clip later, tap the ⋯ button on its pane and choose Replace Video. The first time, iOS will ask for permission to access your photos — that's what lets the app load the clips you choose. Your originals are never modified.
How do I line up two clips?
Switch to Overlay, open the Align tool and tap Align by body points. Put both athletes at the same moment, then tap the same two points on each clip (for example, the lead foot and the head). Video Overlay scales and rotates the second clip to match. You can also pinch, drag and rotate a clip by hand, and shift either clip's timing a frame at a time.
How do I make both clips the same length?
Open the Trim tool. Both clips are listed together: drag either end of a clip, or use the −1f / +1f buttons to move a start or end by exactly one frame. When the lengths differ, tap Match to Video 1 (or Video 2) to trim the longer clip's end so they match.
How do I play both in slow motion?
Press play and choose 0.25×, 0.5×, or 1×. Both clips run from one shared clock so they stay in sync. Loop Playback is in the ⋯ menu at the top left, and the frame-step buttons beside Play move one frame at a time.
How do I save or export a comparison?
Tap Save at the top right to render the current view and save it to your photo library. Exporting is included — every feature is unlocked once you own the app.

What does Video Overlay cost?
Video Overlay is a one-time purchase of $59.99. There's no subscription, no free trial, and no in-app purchases — every feature is unlocked from the moment you buy it. Price is in USD and may vary by region.
I reinstalled or got a new device — do I have to pay again?
No. As long as you're signed in with the same Apple Account you originally purchased with, the App Store will let you re-download Video Overlay at no extra charge.
How do refunds work?
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refund requests go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Privacy & safety
Do my videos get uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens on your device. Video Overlay collects no personal data, has no accounts, and never uploads or transmits your videos. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my data?
Session settings live only on your device, so deleting the app removes everything Video Overlay has stored. Your original videos remain in your photo library, untouched.
