1. Who we are
Video Overlay ("we," "us," or "the app") is a motion-comparison tool that lets coaches, parents, and athletes overlay and compare video clips to study technique. This policy explains how Video Overlay handles information.
2. Information we do not collect
Video Overlay is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not collect:
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or contact information
- Location data
- Advertising identifiers or device fingerprints
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
Video Overlay does not require an account and does not ask you to sign in.
3. Your videos and photos
To compare motion, Video Overlay needs access to videos you choose from your photo library. This access is used only to load the clips you pick and to play, trim, align, and overlay them inside the app.
- Imported videos and the frames you capture are processed on your device only.
- We never upload, copy to a server, or transmit your videos anywhere. There is no cloud account.
- Your original clips in your photo library are left unchanged.
- When you choose to export a comparison, it is saved to your own photo library with your permission — nowhere else.
You can revoke photo access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Video Overlay.
4. Information stored on your device only
Any session details — such as your trim points, sync offsets, opacity, and alignment settings — exist only while you use the app and are stored locally. This information never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the app.
5. Purchases
The Pro subscription (monthly or yearly) and the one-time Lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. Apple handles all payment information; Video Overlay never sees or stores your payment details. Apple may process this information under Apple's Privacy Policy.
6. No third-party sharing
We do not share information with third parties because we do not collect any. Video Overlay includes no third-party advertising or analytics services.
7. Children's privacy
Video Overlay is a general-audience tool intended for coaches, parents, and athletes. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, there is nothing for us to use, disclose, or sell. We comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws by simply not collecting personal data at all.
8. Data security
Because your videos and settings stay on your device, they are protected by your device's own security, such as your passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.
9. Changes to this policy
If we ever change how Video Overlay handles information, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
